Expropriation
Protecting owners when property is taken for a public project, with a focus on full and fair compensation.

When the state or a municipality claims your land or house for a public project, the owner has rights as well as duties. That includes the right to fair compensation, and my job is to secure it in full.
I represent owners before the authorities and the courts, from the public interest decision to the final ruling on compensation.
What it covers
- Proceedings for determining the public interest
- Representation of property owners
- Determination of fair compensation
- Compensation by agreement
- Non-contentious compensation proceedings
- Compensation for land and buildings
- Protection of rights before the court
How I work
I check that the decision and the expropriation proposal are lawful and cover only as much property as is truly needed. Then, with expert valuers, I establish the market value, negotiate an agreement and, failing one, ask the court to set the compensation.
Worth knowing
Compensation covers more than the land or the building. Crops, outbuildings, lost profit and moving costs can also be claimed, so list everything before the valuation.
The public interest is no reason for an owner to receive less than is due.
